Like every other racquet & paddle sport on earth besides pickleball, Arete features a aerodynamic design which gives you significantly more speed to:
- Attack when you would normally just block
- Swing faster for more spin on drives & volleys
- Stay one step ahead in hands battles
- What makes Arete so special is that almost no paddles exist where you have both speed & control like Arete does thanks to the aerodynamic shape & 16mm core. Usually fast paddles are thin paddles which lack control & have too much power to control.
- Arete has solid power & excellent spin (over 2,000 rounds per minute) which combined with it's unique features make it one of the most unbelievably great values in pickleball especially for those with tennis & table tennis experience.
- Adding at least one lead weight to each side at 3 & 9 o'clock is recommended for enhanced stability.

I play both Tennis and Pickleball. After doing some research, I came across the Ethos brand as I was looking for a company that was both in the USA and my home state of NC. After reading about the company philosophy and the ARETE paddle, I decided to try it. I love the paddle. I need an extra long handle due to the size of my hands and I use a two hand backhand. The paddle is well built and has held up nicely. I love the aerodynamics of it and how they have cut out the bottom corners of the head to allow for quicker motions. I play 2 to 3 times a week and the paddle plays very well, looks good and has a very nice feel. They are also very reasonably priced. I have a guess to what most paddles cost to manufacture and most are way overpriced. Ethos is trying to be both a reputable company and a company that makes great products and they are succeeding.
I really like this paddle. It doesn’t really play like an extended paddle. The head shape is just enough to really work it. Not much pop but enough. The 6 inch handle is awesome.
People hate to loose to this paddle so it rocks that factor. Overall a very pleasant surprise
I buy Ethos paddles exclusively. I love the quality and price point of these paddles. Anytime I get a friend into the sport I buy them one of these. Eventually they upgrade to a different Ethos paddle! We love their paddles!
A fantastic paddle . . A paddle that is stripped down to the essentials . . Spin/Control (10/10) . . Its design makes kitchen fast hands exchanges super fun. . 6” elongated handle makes the infamous “twoey” super doable. The price . . The solid design makes it an easy buy and try pick up. Are you a Tennis Player? If so, this is the paddle for u with its “tennis racket” shape/design.
As an avid and high-level tennis player, this 6 inch grip and teardrop design is the racket that I have chosen among over a dozen that I have tried. Just won the 65 and over Rhode Island championships with this beast and any tennis player that is trying to use their tennis strokes. This is the racket for you.
